豉蒜南瓜燜豬肋條 Braised Pork Ribs with Pumpkin in Fermented Black Soybean (3 people)

Ingredients:

Pork Ribs:                             280g

Pumpkin:                               260g

Carrot / Bell Pepper (any 

other vegetable):                    Optional

Fermented Black Soybean:   0.5 tablespoon

Garlic:                                    2 cloves

Shallot:                                  2 pieces

Small chili:                             1 piece

Sugar:                                    0.5 teaspoon

Salt:                                       1/4 teaspoon

Water:                                    4 tablespoon

Cornstarch:                            1 teaspoon, with a bit water

 

 

How to make:

1.     Cut the pumpkin in piece. Cut the pork ribs in pieces about 1 inch length.

2.     Rinse the black beans. Chop the black beans, garlics, shallots, red chili.

3.     Boil the pork ribs in pot with room temperature water until to boil up.

4.     Put oil into wok, then put into garlics, shallots until smell.  Then put in pork ribs to fry together.

5.     When the pork ribs turned to golden, put in black beans, chili and sugar to fry.

6.     Add in salt, water and pumpkin, carrot.  Close the wok to cook for 8 mins. or longer until the pumpkin in suitable softness.

    *For bell pepper, it can be put in at last 4 minutes. 

7.     Put in cornstarch water to thicken the sauce.  Finished!
